Zhang Bo, chairman of China Hongqiao, ranked 43rd in his second consecutive year listed on Fortune’s 50 most influential leaders in China.
For
choosing these 50 business leaders in 2021, Fortune magazine focused on China’s
business leaders who have stood out during a challenging year as 2020 was. The
performance of company leaders and their enterprises during the pandemic was
taken into consideration as a key factor.
"Fortune"
magazine also based its choice on those businessmen leading their companies to
sustainability and pointed out Hongqiao’s setting standards by cooperating with
key scientific research institutes to build a lightweight base, with the green
aluminum project in Yunnan officially put into production while being able to
keep an annual sales revenue of about 297 billion yuan, an increase of 6.07%

But this is just the beginning for Hongqiao. A new round of development plan is underway. At the internal meeting by the end of 2020 Mr. Zhang Bo put forward the development vision of transforming a world-leading century-old manufacturing company into a sustainable and innovative one by 2035.
