For the second consecutive year, China Hongqiao Group has been invited to participate in the annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia, sharing the group’s vision about and commitment to a green and sustainable future.

Running from April 20th to 22nd, the 2022 annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia was held in Boao, Hainan with the theme “The World in COVID-19 & Beyond: Working Together for Global Development and Shared Future”.

Ms. Wang Yan, General Manager of the overseas business department, participated in this annual meeting on behalf of the Group. During her presentation in the Forum "Enhancing the Green Competitiveness of Enterprises and Obtaining Sustainable Development" Ms. Wang shared the Group's own journey in transformation and upgrading towards a green supply chain with sustainability and technology as the core.

Ms. Wang introduced the group's "Carbon Peak & Neutrality Goals" strategy and gave more details about the Group’s strategic planning for long-term development. China Hongqiao Group has implemented the "Carbon Peak & Neutrality Goals" strategy in energy structure adjustment, business model innovation, and organizational structure transformation. Important measures such as adopting a circular economy approach have been implemented to achieve the Group’s low carbon emissions goal.

In her final remarks, Ms. Wang pointed out the importance of joint efforts from the private sector, the government, financial institutions, scientific research institutions, certification service institutions and other relevant parties to continue to work together to achieve the "Carbon Peak & Neutrality" goals.
