On October 10 Mr. Zhang Bo, CEO & Chairman of China Hongqiao  Group Co., Ltd., was elected as the chairman of Binzhou’s Municipal Charity Federation.

The Binzhou Charity Federation was created to assist those in need, the elderly and to provide rapid action during major natural disasters such as the typhoons and outbreaks such as COVID-19.

Zhang Bo, the newly elected president of the Municipal Charity Federation, made a speech and donated 2 million yuan on the spot to commend and support charity organizations in the city.

In his speech, Mr. Zhang Bo said that the new council will work with all walks of life in accordance with the requirements of the Charity Law and to do a solid job in improving the network of charitable organizations and enhance the operational capability of charity assistance; raising charity funds to strengthen charity assistance both from the public and private sectors; to identify the key points of poverty alleviation and enhance the affinity of charity assistance; to promote charity culture in enterprises, schools, and communities, so that more people can understand, support, participate and promote; to standardize and improve the charity financial management system with open and transparent charity operations, so that every donation reflects the wishes of the donor, uses it where it is most needed, and helps those who need it most.
