On May 24, the China Children's Fund and the Shiping Public Welfare Foundation jointly launched the "Building Bridges for Love" public welfare project which is expected to benefit more than 30,000 children.
The project counts with an investment of 30 million yuan for 5 consecutive years in economically underdeveloped areas such as Yunnan Province. The aim of the project is to improve the facilities of rural schools, subsidise children in difficulties during elementary education stage, providing care services for adolescent girls, and improving vocational skills of girls in higher vocational schools, among others to help more teenagers realise their life dreams and have a better future.
Since its establishment, the Shiping Public Welfare Foundation has fully supported educational public welfare undertakings, promoted industry-university cooperation, cultivated outstanding talents, actively participated in various public welfare and charity activities, and successfully fulfilled social responsibilities.
China Children's Foundation and Shiping Public Welfare Foundation joined hands again on the basis of the previous cooperation in children's education to launch the "Building Bridges for Love" public welfare project to further deepen cooperation. The main goal of the project is to jointly contribute to the healthy growth and development of children in difficult areas and contribute to the revitalisation of rural education.
